Sukhim Yakthung Nishamsa Sapsok Chumbo (SYNSC) welcomes Freshers.

Kesang Tamang :Sukhim Yakthung Nishamsa Sapsok Chumbo (SYNSC) also known as Limboo Literary Association held its Inter College Limboo Students Freshers Welcome Programme on 03.09.2011 at Limboo Bhawan , situated at DPH Road, Gangtok. The programme was chaired by Mr. S.P Subba, Ex D.C.West as a chief guest. Also present on the occasion were Deputy Director HRDD (Limboo Text Book) Mr.S.B.Subba, Additional Director Mr. M.P.Subba, Limboo language Lecturers from Sikkim Government College and Geyzing Degree College, students from various colleges. On the very occasion the names of newly elected executive bodies of the Association were also announced by Ex president S.M.Limboo,  where Mr. Hindukari Limboo was elected as President, Mr. Ashok Limboo as Vice President, Mr. Mundu Limboo as General Secretary   and similarly Miss Chach Hangma Limboo as Treasurer respectively. The chief guest in his address, urged the limboo students to preserve the limbo literature & culture, and also told that it is the responsibility of the entire students to carry out and take the limbo literature to a whole new level. Ex president & Ex Treasurer in their address urged the newly formed bodies to work hard and selflessly for the betterment of the community. The programme also witnessed various cultural dance and songs by 2nd & 3rd year Limboo students of S.G.C, Tadong. A brief interaction programme was also kept to introduce the fresh students. The major announcement came from SGC Lecturer, Mr. A.B.Subba to start Post Graduate (M.A) in Limboo Language soon as they has been working very hard to implement it soon, which sparked the happiness among the students.

ROAD SAFETY- BE RESPONSIBLE

         With the increase in number of vehicles and road accidents in the recent years, the Motor vehicle Department and Sikkim Traffic Police has has come up with various Acts and policies to prevent more accidents in the state.  Recently, Road Safety Week was observed jointly by Sikkim traffic Police and  Motor vehicle Department in order to bring awareness among the general public of the State.          When we look in our State only, according to survey, 75% of accidents are caused due to the negligence of driver. But on the other hand, drivers of Sikkim are much more aware of traffic rules as compared to other states in India. Sikkim Traffic Police, in order to bring awareness among the students has come up with a policy of forming a Road Safety Patrol consisting of 20-30 member students from  each school.
