Sikkim–Darjeeling should be unified : SDUF
“It is the time to understand the issue of Sikkim-Darjeeling unification because without the help of Sikkimese or Sikkim it is impossible to achieve Gorkhaland” said General Secretary of Sikkim- Darjeeling Unification Forum Mr. Shankar Hang Subba in a press conference held today here in the Capital. Adding more Mr. Subba appealed to the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling to take initiative and play a vital role in the unification issue. Mr. Subba stated that Gorkhaland is impossible but through unification the problems of Darjeeling people would be solved. The forum has been raising the voice about the restoration of lost territory since day one of its inception but due to technical errors and other reason forum failed to convince the people of Sikkim regarding the unification issue but hopes that a day will come when every people in the hills will understand the unification issue and raise their voice in support of this demand.
