CLEANLINESS DRIVE BY INTERACT CLUB OF WEST POINT SCHOOL

Interactors carrying out cleanliness drive

Kesang Tamang: Interact Club of West Point School, one of the first sponsored club in Government Schools by Rotary Club Gangtok, South carried out a cleanliness drive at STNM Hospital on 23rd july 2011. The 16 member Interactor team was escorted by Rtn Mr. Prakash Sundas, Chairman, Interact Club.

 The team carried out the cleanliness drive at three important wings of STNM hospital, Male Medical Ward, Female Medical Ward and Male Surgical Ward. “As we can see today not many youths are involved in social works and activities these days. The main motive behind carrying out this drive was to involve students in social activities and make them understand the ‘Social Responsibility’ from the very beginning of their age, ” briefed Rtn Prakash Sundas.

After the cleanliness drive, an hour long motivation camp was organized at the Hospital premises where the interactors were addressed by Dr. C.M.Sharma, Senior Blood Bank officer of STNM Hospital stressing on the importance and benefits of voluntary blood donations and imparting adequate knowledge on blood donation.
